A Rocha in NZ supports the International Coastal Cleanup and would like to invite congregations, individuals and communities to arrange or participate in a local clean-up on a beach, along a river, or anywhere that needs cleaning up on 15 September 2018.

In New Zealand –
A Rocha is working together with other community organisations in Raglan/Whāingaroa to clean up our coastlines. We are doing this in partnership with Whāingaroa Environment Centre, Xtreme Zero Waste, Waikato Regional Council and the Raglan Fishing Club. Our aim is to run quarterly beach clean ups for the community starting on Saturday 15th September. And we are also working collaboratively to develop a citizen science project that aims to collect data that is scientifically robust so that the information can be presented to decision makers and politicians in a way that people will listen and reduce our marine rubbish problem!
