Be part of Eco Church NZ!

31st July 2020

We’re pretty excited!

We’ve just kicked off our brand new Eco Church NZ website!

We’re inviting churches to sign up to the Eco Church NZ project and join with churches across Aotearoa / NZ to actively care for creation as an integral part of our faith. The Eco Church NZ website features stories of change, handy resources and ideas you can implement in your church, and a self-assessment questionnaire that can help your church be inspired on the creation care journey.

As part of the Eco Church NZ project we are also pleased to introduce the A Rocha / Para Kore Zero Waste Programme for Churches – we are piloting the programme on 15 August 2020 in Christchurch. It is not too late to register if your church is in Christchurch and would like to take part in this initiative. More workshops will be held across the country as we grow the programme.

To complement the Para Kore Zero Waste Programme for Churches, we have also just published Waste – our fourth title in the Rich Living booklet series – a small group resource to help make sustainability integral to lives of faith.

The four titles in our Rich Living booklet series.

The Eco Church NZ website is a work-in-progress and we will be updating and adding new resources regularly as well as featuring new stories to motivate you and your church to do great things!

The Eco Church NZ project is a labour of love for many. So we are always looking for people who can offer their time and skills to the project – whether it’s skills in photography, making videos, writing, researching, fundraising, social media, or you just have a good idea to share – get in touch with us. We’d love to hear from you!
