Forming Environmental Leaders

7th September 2017

Are you a Year 12/13 student who seeks a challenge that will grow your faith and develop your leadership & conservation skills? Or, do you know of this student? If so, we’d love to hear from you. In December, A Rocha is involved in two E3 Wilderness Expeditions. A Rocha’s involvement in E3 stems from a desire to form young Christian leaders who see care of creation as integral to Christian life and leadership.

E3 is one of a number of A Rocha projects that focus on forming an ecological consciousness and developing practical conservation skills amongst school students. A Rocha recently began a pilot project with Raglan Area School and Papa Taiao Earthcare to run a school based NCEA level Karioi Earthcare programme. To find out more, read the longer story here, and click here to register for E3 expeditions.

If you’re not a young person but you share A Rocha’s vision ‘of communities actively caring for the earth’ then check out our Rich Living resources. These resources are designed to assist whole communities seeking to make sustainability central to their lives. We’re just about to release our second Rich Living booklet – exploring the theme of Water.
