International Forum

10th July 2015

Held every 2-3 years, the A Rocha International forum provides the opportunity for A Rocha organisations from around the world to share their experiences and learnings and be inspired by ideas and initiatives from within the A Rocha family and the broader conservation movement.

Our International A Rocha Family

In June, Kristel van Houte, Andrew Shepherd and Murray Sheard spent a week in Portugal with delegates from 18 of the 20 A Rocha organisations. Post-conference they had the privilege of spending a few days at the A Rocha Portugal field-centre at Cruzinha – the birthplace of A Rocha in the early 1980’s. All came away buoyed by the tangible reminder of being part of a global movement of Christians involved in conservation and, likewise, encouraged from hearing many inspiring stories of people living deeply sacrificial lives working with A Rocha in difficult contexts.
