Outdoor education a hit with Raglan Area School students

26th July 2019

The Raglan Chronicle recently profiled the Karioi Project’s NCEA-level Manaaki Ao education programme at Raglan Area School. Students from the school have been enjoying the opportunity to get outdoors and gain academic credits at the same time. The Manaaki Ao programme is a partnership between Raglan Area School, Papa Taiao Earthcare and A Rocha Aotearoa New Zealand and was started in 2017. The programme aims to develop NCEA students’ skills in sustainable and ecological actions and enable them to earn NCEA credits through hands-on practical conservation activities.
