Sustainable Communities
The rapid decline of ecosystems and the loss of biodiversity we currently face are directly linked to unsustainable patterns of living. We believe that we are called to both individual and collective action – to live more sustainably. A Rocha local groups offer places to explore with others how we can together seek the well-being of humans, the land and other species.
We foster sustainable living through:
- noho experiences in Raglan at The Blodge. The Blodge is a place of hospitality and sustainable community living for visitors and volunteers.
- building up the A Rocha family at special events and hui. You can read more about past events here.
- supporting churches across Aotearoa New Zealand to actively care for God’s earth as an integral part of their mission through the the Eco Church NZ initiative.
